"Kreuz, auf das ich schaue" is a German Christian hymn. It was written in 1982 by pastor Eckart Bücken, with a melody by Lothar Graap. The words reflect on the Cross and are based on Isaiah 2:2–5. The hymn appears in both major church hymnals: Evangelisches Gesangbuch (EG 598) for Protestants and Gotteslob (GL 270) for Catholics, and is also found in other songbooks.
