Qidan Guo Zhi, or Records of the Khitan State, is a 13th‑century Chinese history book about the Liao dynasty (916–1125) and the Khitan people. It was written in Classical Chinese by Ye Longli of the Southern Song. The work was probably published around 1265–1274 during Emperor Duzong’s reign, though its preface claims it was submitted to the throne in 1180. Ye Longli did not pass the imperial exam until 1247. The book has 27 chapters and also covers Khitan history before the Liao dynasty, but that part includes many legends. It mainly uses sources from the Northern Song era, so it differs from the History of Liao, which relies on official Liao records.
