Padmini Dian
Padmini Dian (born 1 July 1986) is an Indian politician from Odisha. She is a member of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and serves as the Minister for Textiles, Handlooms & Handicrafts in the Odisha government. She was elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly from Kotpad in 2019, defeating the incumbent MLA Chandra Sekhar Majhi of the INC by about 2,500 votes. She comes from Dhamanahandi village near Kotpad and works as a farmer. She studied up to matriculation. In February 2020, she published a book on local hand weaving called Divine Fabric. She is known for her social work, including plantation programs, blood donation camps, and her involvement with self-help groups. She is married to Shri Sadasiv Dian.
