PW-2 Gapa is a Polish lightweight, single-seat glider designed at the Warsaw University of Technology and produced by DWLKK in the early 1990s. It is a high-wing, strut-braced aircraft with an open cockpit. Nineteen units were built, including the PW-2D bis variant, and it was offered both as a factory-built plane and as a home-build kit. The airframe is made from composites, with control surfaces covered in doped fabric. The 11.0 m wingspan uses an American NACA 4415 airfoil, giving a maximum glide ratio of 16:1 at about 69 km/h. The PW-2 flew for the first time on July 25, 1985, and entered production in the early 1990s. In August 2011, five PW-2Ds were registered in the United States in the Experimental - Exhibition/Racing category; they were built in 1992–1993.
