Pandaruan Bridge
Pandaruan Bridge, also known as the Brunei–Malaysia Friendship Bridge (Malay: Jambatan Pandaruan or Jambatan Persahabatan Brunei–Malaysia), is a road bridge on the Brunei–Malaysia border. It crosses the Pandaruan River and connects Brunei’s Temburong District with Malaysia’s Limbang Division. The bridge is part of the Pan Borneo Highway (Federal Route 1) and carries motor vehicles.
It is a box girder bridge, about 200 meters long and 15 meters wide. The bridge was built through cooperation between Malaysia and Brunei, with designers and builders including the Governments of Malaysia and Brunei, Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR), and Brunei Public Works Department (JKRB). It opened on 8 December 2013, replacing a ferry service between the two countries, and was officially opened by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and Brunei’s Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.
The Pandaruan Bridge strengthens cross-border links and supports travel and trade between Brunei and Malaysia.
