Plose is a mountain massif near Brixen in South Tyrol, Italy. Its main peaks are Gabler (2,576 m), Pfannspitze (2,547 m) and Telegraph (2,486 m). The range is part of the Lüsner Mountains in the Dolomites and is bordered by Eisacktal to the west, the Lüsner Valley to the north and east, and the Aferer Valley and Würzjoch to the south.

Because its slopes are gentle, Plose is popular for skiing. It has several cable cars and chairlifts, and its ski area is part of the Dolomiti Superski network. A refuge was built at Kreuztal in 1920, and ski facilities grew over the decades, with major lifts opened in the 1950s–1980s and a modern 6-seat chairlift added in 2010.

Today there are about 10 lifts in total and 42 kilometers of slopes, plus 23 kilometers of cross-country trails. The area also features the Schönboden fun park, the Trametsch, and other lifts. In 2009 a long toboggan run, the Rudirun, opened from Kreuztal to the valley near Sankt Andrä; it’s the longest in South Tyrol. A shorter run goes from the Rossalm hut to Kreuztal.

Paragliding is possible from three launch points: the summit, Giogo Bello, and near Valcroce. The name Plose appears in documents as early as 1501 and probably comes from a pre-Roman word meaning “steep meadow.”
