Pepe Rubio

Pepe Rubio (1931–2012) was a Spanish actor known for his comedies. He began his career in theater in 1953 and was born in Lubrín, Almería, Andalusia. His father was a miner. Rubio moved with his family to Barcelona, worked in a textile factory, and joined the army at 18. He made his film debut in House of Troy (1959). Other films include Dulcinea (1963) and Behind the Mask of Zorro (1965). He died on March 15, 2012, in Madrid, at age 80.
