Loco (Enrique Iglesias song)
Loco is the lead Spanish single from Enrique Iglesias's 2013 album Sex and Love, featuring American singer Romeo Santos. It was released on August 24, 2013, and runs 3 minutes and 37 seconds. This was Iglesias’s second bachata song, following Cuando Me Enamoro. A banda version with Mexican singer Roberto Tapia, and another version with Spanish singer India Martínez, were released later in 2013. The track received a Best Tropical Song nomination at the 2014 Latin Grammys. The music video, directed by Yasha Malekzad, premiered on August 26, 2013 on Iglesias’s Vevo channel and has more than 600 million views. It features Roselyn Sánchez dancing on stage with Iglesias and Santos, with Danny Trejo appearing in a supporting role.
On the charts, Loco reached No. 80 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Iglesias’s highest-charting Spanish song on that chart at the time. It debuted in Spain at No. 22. On the Hot Latin Tracks chart, it started at No. 8 and quickly rose to No. 2. It topped the Latin Pop Songs chart for 14 weeks (one of his longest runs at No. 1), and led the Latin Airplay chart for 9 non-consecutive weeks. It also appeared on the Tropical Songs chart, debuting at No. 4 as a major early gain.
