Paidi (排笛) is a Chinese woodwind instrument. It consists of two to four parallel dizis of different lengths bound together. It was invented by Zhao Songting in the early 1960s. Compared with a single dizi, the paidi has a wider range and can produce more varied timbres. Its Hornbostel–Sachs classification is 421.122.1 (sets of open side-blown flutes). It is related to the dizi and paixiao.
