Cerro Azul District is one of sixteen districts in the Cañete Province, in Peru’s Lima Region. Its capital is the town of Cerro Azul. The district was founded on August 16, 1921. It covers 105.17 square kilometers and sits about 3 meters above sea level. In 2017, the population was 8,328, with a density of roughly 79 people per square kilometer. The mayor is José Pain García.
