POMD-1 mine
POMD-1 is a Bulgarian anti-personnel mine designed to be scattered from a KNURS-DM 122 mm rocket fired from a BM-21 launcher. Each rocket carries one POMD-1 mine, along with 16 PMD-1 AP pressure mines and four TMD-1 anti-tank mines. When deployed, the mine’s top is ejected, the spring-loaded legs unfold, and four tripwires shoot out. After a short delay the mine arms, and any disturbance of the tripwires triggers it, firing fragments up to about 15 meters. The POMD-1 has been withdrawn from Bulgarian service and all stock destroyed.
