K-296 was a 15.7-mile state highway in Kansas, located entirely in Sedgwick County. It connected K-96 north of Mount Hope with K-96 in Maize and served the towns of Andale and Colwich. The highway existed from May 5, 1965, to October 16, 1996. It followed a former routing of K-96 after K-96 was realigned in 1965: starting at K-96 near Mount Hope, it headed south for about two miles, crossing Big Slough and South Fork Big Slough, then turned east through Andale, crossed Cowskin Creek, continued through Colwich, and finally reached Maize where it ended at K-96.

Traffic counts collected in 1995 showed between about 400 vehicles per day at the western end and about 3,045 vehicles per day just west of Maize.

K-296 was removed from the state highway system in 1996, and the entire route remained in Sedgwick County.
