PFL 2 (2022)
PFL 2, part of the 2022 season of the Professional Fighters League, took place on April 28, 2022, at the Esports Stadium Arlington in Arlington, Texas. It was the second regular-season event and featured fights in the Heavyweight and Featherweight divisions.
The card was headlined by a heavyweight bout between 2021 champion Bruno Cappelozza and UK veteran Stuart Austin. The co-main event featured a featherweight clash between Brendan Loughnane and Ryoji Kudo. Additional main-card fights included Ante Delija vs. Matheus Scheffel and Renan Ferreira vs. Jamelle Jones.
lineup changes: Bubba Jenkins was set to face Sung Bin Jo, but Jo pulled out and was replaced by Kyle Bochniak. A heavyweight bout between Ali Isaev and Klidson Abreu was scheduled, but Isaev withdrew and was replaced by Adam Keresh (the Week 6 winner of the PFL Challenger Series). Denis Goltsov vs. Sam Kei was on the card, but Kei pulled out and Cody Goodale filled in.
PFL uses a points system to determine season standings. A win earns 3 points; a draw earns 1 point for each fighter. Fighters can also earn bonus points for finishing early: 3 bonus points for a win in the first round, 2 for a win in the second round, and 1 for a win in the third round (the third-round bonus applies only if the fight is stopped before 4:59 of the third). No bonus points are awarded for a decision win. If a fighter misses weight, their opponent gets 3 points as a walkover, regardless of the result; if the non-offending fighter wins by stoppage, they still receive any applicable bonus points.
