WLPO (1220 AM) is a LaSalle, Illinois radio station serving Northern Illinois, including LaSalle, Ottawa and Princeton. It broadcasts news and talk along with a classic rock music mix, and its shows are heard more clearly across the area with the help of its 103.9 FM translator in Peru (W280EG).

The station is owned by Starved Rock Media, Inc., and has sister stations WAJK and WLWF. It has been on the air since November 16, 1947. WLPO originally operated at 250 watts daytime only, and in 1957 power was increased to 1,000 watts with a directional antenna; nighttime power of 500 watts was added in 1988.

Over the years WLPO has changed formats several times, including MOR, farm/talk, oldies, and a news-talk lineup, and it later moved to a classic hits format. In December 2013, 103.9 FM began a full-time simulcast to improve night coverage when WLPO AM reduces power.

The call letters reflect the station’s region: LaSalle-Peru-Oglesby.
