Onirama
Onirama was a Greek pop-rock band from Thessaloniki, active from 2000 to 2026. It was formed in October 2000 by Thodoris Marantinis and Dionisis Prantzis, with Giorgos and Dimitris Kokonidis joining soon after, and Kostas Karakatsanis joining a few months later. Christos Tresintsis joined in 2003. The group started as a hobby under the name Mixing Up The Medicine, inspired by Bob Dylan lyrics, and played a wide range of styles. Their first show was at Mesogios club in Thessaloniki, and their party-like performances helped them gain fans. In 2003 they adopted the name Onirama, meaning “Our Dreams.”
In 2004 they began performing at Malt & Jazz and started writing their first album. They signed with Lyra Records in 2005 and released Diskolos Kairos Gia Prinkipes (A Tough Time for Princes) on 7 December 2005. The lead single "O Horos (Klise Ta Matia)" became a radio hit, followed by "Mia Mera Tha 'Rtheis."
In 2006 they toured Greece and were nominated for Best Pop Band at the Arion Music Awards. In 2007 they joined Antonis Remos for a concert and toured Greece.
Their second album, Klepsidra (Hourglass), came out in June 2008. It reached number 1 on the Greek charts and later went gold. It featured the hit "The Crazy Guy's Ballad" and their first English song on an album, "Maybe Tonight," plus the title track "Klepsidra" which topped radio charts. In 2008 they performed at the MAD Video Music Awards and opened for Lenny Kravitz in Athens. In 2009 they released a compilation Horis Etia and then the studio album Sti Hora Ton Trelon, which has 12 songs, including two in English. Onirama was known for their versatile sound and energetic live shows across Greece and Cyprus.
