Edwin “Ed” Karger (May 6, 1883 – September 9, 1957) was an American left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball from 1906 to 1911. He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, and Boston Red Sox. Over his career he won 48 games and lost 67, with a 2.79 ERA and 415 strikeouts. As a hitter, he batted .220 (88-for-400) with 6 home runs and 35 RBIs. On August 11, 1907, in a game against the Boston Doves, he was credited with a seven-inning perfect game. He was born in San Angelo, Texas, and died in Delta, Colorado. He lived in Alaska in the early 1940s.
