Bo Schultz is a former American professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Toronto Blue Jays. Born on September 25, 1985, in Dallas, Texas, he batted and threw right-handed. He made his MLB debut on March 22, 2014, with the Diamondbacks, and his last MLB appearance was in 2016 with the Blue Jays. In his MLB career, he went 0-3 with a 4.54 ERA and 46 strikeouts.

Schultz attended Highland Park High School in University Park, Texas, where he played with future star Clayton Kershaw. He played college baseball at Northwestern University, finishing with a 3-10 record and a 9.13 ERA.

Undrafted in 2008, Schultz signed with the Oakland Athletics as a free agent and spent years in the minors, plus a stint in independent baseball with the Grand Prairie AirHogs in 2011. In 2012 he joined the Diamondbacks organization, advancing from Visalia to Mobile and Reno and earning a spot on the Diamondbacks’ 40-man roster after 2013. He played in the Arizona Fall League with the Salt River Rafters and opened the 2014 season on the Diamondbacks’ MLB roster.

The Diamondbacks traded Schultz to the Blue Jays in 2014. He spent 2015 with Toronto, recording his first major league save on July 23 and posting a 3.56 ERA in 43 innings. After hip surgery in the offseason, he missed much of 2016 spring training and returned to make 16 relief appearances that year, finishing with a 5.51 ERA.

In March 2017 Schultz underwent elbow surgery (Tommy John) and did not return to the majors. He remained in the minors with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization in 2018 and briefly with the Baltimore Orioles in 2019 before ending his playing career.
