National Information Technology Board (NITB)
Overview
- An autonomous government agency in Pakistan under the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication.
- Formed in 2014 by merging the Pakistan Computer Bureau and the Electronic Government Directorate.

What it does

Beep Pakistan
- NITB launched Beep Pakistan, Pakistan’s first homegrown secure communication app for government officials, as an alternative to WhatsApp.
Legal status
- The National Information Technology Board Act, 2022, made NITB an autonomous body. The act was approved by the President of Pakistan.
Tendering concerns
