Dave Peacock (businessman)
Dave Peacock (born May 26, 1968) is an American businessman and the chief executive officer of Advantage Solutions, a St. Louis–based company that helps retailers and consumer brands with sales and marketing services.
Education and early career
Peacock grew up in Webster Groves, Missouri. He earned a journalism degree with an emphasis in advertising from the University of Kansas in 1990 and later received an MBA from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.
Key roles and accomplishments
- In 2008, after Anheuser-Busch was acquired by InBev, Peacock became president of Anheuser-Busch, succeeding August Busch IV. He served in that role until 2012.
- He owned Vitaligent, LLC, the largest Jamba Juice franchisee, with stores in California, Washington, and Missouri.
- He has served on corporate boards, including Stifel Corp, and Wayne-Sanderson Farms.
- Peacock was chairman of the St. Louis Sports Commission from 2012 to 2017.
- In 2014, Missouri Governor Jay Nixon asked him to lead efforts to keep the NFL’s St. Louis Rams from relocating. He helped develop a downtown stadium plan and led the effort until the Rams moved to Los Angeles in 2016; the region reached a $790 million settlement with the NFL. He also helped organize a group to pursue an MLS expansion franchise in 2016–2017.
- He became president and chief operating officer of Schnuck Markets in May 2017, based in St. Louis.
- He joined Continental Grain as chief operating officer in fall 2021.
- On January 18, 2023, Peacock was announced as the chief executive officer of Advantage Solutions.
Involvement in startups
Peacock has been active in the St. Louis startup scene and invested in Lockerdome, which is now known as Decide.
