Murray McBride
Murray Arndell McBride (born 28 April 1935) is a Canadian politician and author. A Liberal, he was elected as the Member of Parliament for Lanark and Renfrew in 1968 and served in the 28th Canadian Parliament until 1972. He was defeated in the 1972 election by Paul Dick of the Progressive Conservative Party in the riding of Lanark—Renfrew—Carleton. He later ran in High Park–Humber Valley but did not win, and he did not seek another seat in Parliament.
After leaving Parliament, McBride held several government and public service roles: Executive Assistant to the Postmaster General (1973–1974); Executive Assistant to the Minister of Consumer and Corporate Affairs (1974–1976); Vice Chairman and General Manager of the Farm Credit Corporation of Canada (1976–1978); and Chairman of the Canadian Egg Marketing Agency (1978–1979).
