March Town United Football Club is from March, Cambridgeshire, England. They are nicknamed The Hares and play at the GER Sports Ground. The club was founded in 1885. They currently compete in the United Counties League Premier Division South and finished 4th out of 19 in the 2024–25 season. The chairman is Lee Brownlow and the manager is Ash Taylor.
Over the years they have moved through several leagues. They started as March Town in 1885 and played in the Peterborough & District League, the Cambridgeshire League, and other competitions before joining the United Counties League in the 1940s. They were renamed March Town United in 1950 after moving to the GER Ground. They won the United Counties League in 1953–54 and later joined the Eastern Counties League, where they won the Cambridgeshire Invitation Cup in 1954–55, beating Cambridge United 3–2.
The club reached the FA Cup first round in 1955–56 (losing to Brentford) and again in 1978–79 (losing to Swindon Town). They won the Eastern Counties League title in 1987–88, and when the league added a Premier Division, they played there. They faced relegation battles in the late 1990s and early 2000s but avoided dropping to county leagues. They earned promotion back to the Premier Division in 2021 and moved to the Premier Division South in 2022.
Their early grounds were Estover Road, Gaul Drove and Burrowmoor Road, before settling at Avenue in 1923. After World War II they moved to the GER Sports Ground.
