Miroč
Miroč is a mountain in eastern Serbia, located between the towns of Donji Milanovac and Tekija. The highest point is Štrbac, at 768 meters. It lies in the Iron Gate gorge of the Danube and is part of Đerdap National Park. The area is known for its honey and rich wildlife, including deer and wild boar, with protected hunting areas at Vratna and Ploče.
In Serbian folklore, Miroč is seen as a mystical place with healing herbs. Legend says Vila Ravijojla, the sister of Prince Marko, gathered herbs here to heal his wounds after the Battle of Rovine. The nearby Koroglaš Monastery was built in the 14th century.
The Blederija river watershed near Miroč was declared a natural monument in December 2019 for its geodiversity. It features four springs that form the river, a natural reservoir, the Sokolovica spring cave, a small limestone gorge, and waterfalls.
