Porter, secretary/treasurer of the Savage Fire-Brick Company, who owned the property until 1903. The house is a contributing property in the Mexican War Streets Historic District (ID 08000845) and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 27, 1986 (NRHP reference number 86000305). The property covers about 0.1 acres and is located at 200 W. North Ave., coordinates 40°27′25″N 80°00′32″W. It was designated a contributing property on September 4, 2008.
