Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference
Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (Shanxi CPPCC) is the advisory body and local arm of the CPPCC in Shanxi, China. It is a united front organization supervised by the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. It traces its origins to the Shanxi Provincial People's Congress Consultative Committee, founded in 1949, and was established as a CPPCC body in February 1955.
Its chairperson is Zhang Chunlin, and its official website is www.shanxizx.gov.cn.
Recent developments: On 26 August 2022, Li Jia was investigated by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) and the National Supervisory Commission for serious violations of discipline and laws. His qualification as a representative to the 19th National Congress of the CCP was terminated, and he was demoted from provincial-ministerial to deputy provincial-ministerial level, while remaining a second-class inspector. On 16 December 2024, Wu Cunrong was also investigated by the CCDI and the National Supervisory Commission for similar violations.
Historically, a Working Group for Resumption of Work led by Zheng Lin (November 1975–December 1977) with deputy leader Liu Xiufeng (November 1975).
