Mireille Hassenboehler
Mireille Hassenboehler, born in 1973 in New Orleans, is a former American ballet dancer who was a principal dancer with the Houston Ballet from 1992 to 2013. She trained with Harvey Hysell until she was 17, then studied at the San Francisco Ballet School and Houston Ballet's Ben Stevenson Academy. She joined Houston Ballet in 1992 and was promoted to principal in 2000.
Her classical roles included the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker; Aurora and Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty; Odette/Odile in Swan Lake; Giselle and Myrtha in Giselle; Kitri in Don Quixote; Juliet in Romeo and Juliet; and the lead roles in The Firebird, Cleopatra, Cinderella, and Madame Butterfly. She also danced in The Snow Maiden, Manon, and Etudes. She performed many contemporary works by choreographers such as Balanchine, Forsythe, Tetley, and Stevenson.
In 2008 she married Robert Patman, the executive director of Texas Oncology, and they have a son born in April 2011.
