1987 Croke Cup
The 1987 Croke Cup was the 36th edition of this Gaelic games competition for secondary schools. It ran from 12 April to 10 May 1987 and featured three teams: St Flannan's College (champions), St Kieran's College (runners-up), and defending champions St Brendan's Community School.
St Brendan's Community School were the defending champions but were beaten by St Kieran's in the Leinster final. The final, held on 10 May 1987 at St Brendan's Park in Birr, was a meeting of St Flannan's College and St Kieran's College — their fourth final together and the first since 1958. St Flannan's won the match 4-11 to 1-07, earning their 10th Croke Cup title and their first in four years.
Captains were Justin Quinlan for St Flannan's and Brian Ryan for St Kieran's. The top scorer was Tim Canny with 0-12. Across the two games played, there were 8 goals and 38 points in total.
