Taebin, born Danny Im on May 6, 1980, in Los Angeles, is an American singer and TV host. He grew up in Diamond Bar, California, and attended Diamond Bar High School with fellow 1TYM member Teddy Park, graduating in 1998. He began his music career in 1998 as a member of the Korean hip hop group 1TYM, where he was the lead vocalist and also rapped on tracks like What You Gonna Do and One Time For Your Mind. After 1TYM released their fourth album Once N 4 All in 2003, he released his first solo album, TAEBIN of 1TYM, in 2004, showing a broader musical range beyond hip hop. The main track, The Reason Why I Close My Eyes, is a mid-tempo song with mellow vocals and strings, and it had a music video. Another track, TaBu featuring Park Teddy, was banned in Korea for sexual content, and a video for it was not filmed. In 2012, he started his own TV show, Danny from LA, on Mnet America, where he talks about K-pop trends and his time in 1TYM. On December 1, 2012, he shared a photo of his son on Twitter and later confirmed his marriage and child on Danny From LA. After initial reports about his children, he announced that he had a daughter on a 2014 Danny From LA special.
