Alvania zbyszewskii

Alvania zbyszewskii is an extinct, tiny sea snail in the Rissoidae family. It is known from fossils found in Lower Pliocene rocks in Le Pigeon Blanc, Loire-Atlantique, north-west France. The species was described in 2016 by Van Dingenen, Ceulemans and Landau. The holotype shell is kept at the National Museum of Natural History (MNHN) in Paris. The description appears in the paper The lower Pliocene gastropods of Le Pigeon Blanc (Loire-Atlantique, north west France), 2. Caenogastropoda, published in Cainozoic Research.
