Mina Harigae
Mina Harigae Kreiter is an American professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. Born on November 1, 1989, in Monterey, California, to Japanese parents, she showed early talent by winning the California Women’s Amateur Championship four times (2001–2005) and becoming the youngest winner at age 12. She also won the 2007 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links.
Harigae attended Duke University but left after one year to pursue a professional career. In 2009, she dominated the Futures Tour, winning three events and finishing as the tour’s money leader, which earned her LPGA Tour status for 2010.
On the LPGA Tour, Harigae has eight professional wins, including three on the Epson Tour. Her best finish in a major is second place at the 2022 U.S. Women’s Open, where she finished four strokes behind Minjee Lee. She has also posted top-20 finishes in other majors, such as T32 at the 2013 Chevron Championship, T13 at the 2020 Women’s PGA Championship, T13 at the 2021 Evian Championship, and T24 at the 2014 Evian Championship.
She lives in Mesa, Arizona. In March 2023 she married Travis Kreiter, her caddie, and began competing as Mina Kreiter in 2024.
