John Pares Craine (June 28, 1911 – December 24, 1977) was the eighth bishop of the Diocese of Indianapolis in the Episcopal Church. He led the diocese from 1959 until his death in 1977, shortly before his planned retirement. He had previously served as coadjutor bishop (1957–1959) and supported the ordination of women.

Craine was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised there. He studied at Kenyon College, earning a BA in 1932, and trained for the priesthood at Bexley Hall (Divinity, 1935). He was ordained a deacon in 1935 and a priest in 1936 by Bishop Warren Lincoln Rogers. He married Esther Judson Strong in 1940 and they had three children. His early ministry included roles at St Mark's Cleveland, St Philip's Cleveland, Trinity Church in Santa Barbara, Trinity Church in Oakland, Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, and Trinity Church in Seattle. He served as rector of Christ Church Cathedral in Indianapolis (1950–1957) and as its dean (1953–1957). He was consecrated a bishop on April 29, 1957, by Bishop Richard A. Kirchhoffer at the Scottish Rite Cathedral, and became diocesan bishop in 1959. He died in Indianapolis and is buried at Crown Hill Cemetery.
