Mike Lind (Harry Norman Michael Lind) was an American football fullback who played in the NFL. He was born February 22, 1940, in Chicago and grew up in Illinois. He starred at Calumet High School, where he was named MVP of the 1957 Chicago Prep Bowl and helped Calumet win the city title.

Lind played college football at Notre Dame. As a junior he was the team’s second-leading rusher with 450 yards and four touchdowns. He became Notre Dame’s captain as a senior but missed much of the season due to injuries.

He was drafted in 1962, in the fifth round of the NFL draft by the San Francisco 49ers (64th overall) and also selected in the AFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. Lind played for the 49ers from 1963 to 1964, becoming the primary fullback in 1964 with 256 rushing yards and seven touchdowns, plus 25 receptions for 178 yards.

Before the 1965 season, he was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers. In 1965 he rushed for 375 yards and one touchdown and added 25 receptions for 236 yards and another score. He was waived by the Steelers six games into the 1966 season.

After football, Lind held several jobs, including running a building trades business. He died of cancer on October 25, 2002, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, at age 62. His NFL career totals included 661 rushing yards, a 3.0-yard average, 52 receptions for 427 yards, and 9 total touchdowns.
