Pansy, Missouri
Pansy is a small community in western Douglas County, Missouri. It sits beside Little Beaver Creek at about 1,100 feet in elevation, at the west end of Missouri Route NN, about 2.5 miles west of Red Bank. The old Breeden School was a little over a mile to the north-northwest along Breeden Creek. Keyger Mountain, 1,649 feet high, is about 2.5 miles north at the head of Breeden Creek. In 1899, Colonel Huffman started a post office and store in Pansy and named it after his daughter. The Pansy post office operated until 1935.
