Michael Springer
Michael Springer (born August 4, 1979) is an American lacrosse player and coach. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Ridgewood, New Jersey, where he attended Ridgewood High School and earned two All-American honors.
Springer played college lacrosse for the Syracuse Orange at Syracuse University, becoming a four-time All-American.
In his professional career, he was drafted 61st overall in the 2003 National Lacrosse League (NLL) Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Wings. He later played Major League Lacrosse (MLL) for the Philadelphia Barrage, starting in 2004. He helped the Barrage win three Steinfeld Cup championships in 2004, 2006, and 2007, and was named Offensive Player of the Week in Week 5 of the 2006 season.
He is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds, playing the attack position and shooting right.
Today, Springer coaches varsity lacrosse at Don Bosco Preparatory High School.
