Confederate Soldiers Monument, also known as Defense of the Flag, is located on the east side of the Arkansas State Capitol grounds in Little Rock, just off 4th Street. The five-tier marble monument features a bronze angel on top of a sphere and a bronze Confederate Army soldier on the front of its fourth tier.
It was built in 1904–1905 with funding from various sources, including the state and Confederate memorial groups. It covers less than one acre and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 26, 1996 (reference number 96000453).
