Michael Noel
Michael "Mike" E. Noel (born October 17, 1947 in Ogden, Utah) is an American politician and Republican who served in the Utah House of Representatives for District 73 from 2003 to 2018. He earned a BA from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MS from the University of South Dakota, and he began a PhD at Utah State University but did not complete it. Noel worked as a Realty Specialist for the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management, based in Kanab, Utah.
In the 2016 legislative session, Noel chaired the House Rules Committee and served on the Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environmental Quality Appropriations Subcommittee; the House Education Committee; the House Ethics Committee; the Native American Legislative Liaison Committee; and the House Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment Committee. During the interim, he served on the House Education Interim Committee and the Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment Interim Committee. He was also a member of the State Water Development Commission.
Noel floor sponsored SB0258 (Distribution of Local Sales Tax Revenue) and joint resolutions SJR007 (on Committee Bills) and SJR015 (Conference Committees).
