Urodacidae is a small family of scorpions that includes two genera, and all of its species are native to Australia. The family was first described in 1893 by British zoologist Reginald Innes Pocock. It used to be a subfamily called Urodacinae within Scorpionidae, but it was later raised to full family status. Its closest relative is the monotypic family Heteroscorpionidae, whose species are found only in Madagascar.
