Fabio Turchi
Fabio Turchi, nicknamed The Stone Crusher, is an Italian professional boxer from Florence. Born on July 24, 1993, he fights in the cruiserweight division as a southpaw. He has a professional record of 26 fights: 23 wins (16 by KO) and 3 losses.
As an amateur, Turchi won a gold medal at the 2013 Mediterranean Games, silver at the 2010 Youth Olympics and the 2014 World Military Championships, and bronze at the 2010 Youth World Championships.
Turchi turned pro in 2015. He made his debut on October 31, 2015, winning by first-round technical knockout. He went on an 8-0 start, with six wins by stoppage, and in December 2016 captured the Italian cruiserweight title by stopping Maurizio Lovaglio in six rounds.
In 2017 he won the WBC International Silver cruiserweight title with a fourth-round KO over Cesar David Crenz. He made his U.S. debut in December 2017, stopping Demetrius Banks in the fourth round. In 2018 he defended the WBC International Silver title twice—beating Dario Balmaceda in the first round and Tony Conquest in the seventh.
In 2019 he captured the WBC International cruiserweight title with a first-round KO of Sami Enbom and also beat Dylan Bregeon to win the European (EBU) cruiserweight title. His first defense of the WBC International belt, in October 2019, ended in a split-decision defeat to Tommy McCarthy.
In October 2020 Turchi won the IBF International Cruiserweight title by unanimous decision over Nikolajs Grisunins.
