Nasty (The Prodigy song)
Nasty is the 22nd single by the British electronic band The Prodigy. It was released on 12 January 2015 ahead of their sixth album The Day Is My Enemy, which came out on 30 March 2015. The song blends breakbeat, electronic rock and new rave, and runs 4:03 on the album version (3:27 in the edit).
The track was released on the Take Me to the Hospital and Cooking Vinyl labels. Songwriters are Liam Howlett, Keith Flint, Tim Hutton and Nick Halkes, and the producer is Liam Howlett. In the singles chronology, it follows Take Me to the Hospital (2009) and precedes The Day Is My Enemy (2015).
A remix EP was released on 2 February. The single was announced on 29 December 2014 via the band’s Instagram and Facebook. The official music video, posted on YouTube on 12 January 2015, shows a fox being chased by hunters who fall into a trance and are led to a forest where the hunters become foxes.
