Michael Marcus (born August 25, 1952) is an American jazz musician and composer from San Francisco. He plays a range of woodwinds, including saxophones, clarinets, tarogato, flute, and octavin. Active since the 1970s, he has released music on ESP Records and made his debut as a leader with the 1991 album Under the Wire on Enja Records.

Marcus has performed and recorded with a long list of artists, such as Albert King, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Jaki Byard, Tarus Mateen, and Ted Daniel. He forms the duo Duology with Ted Daniel, a project that has worked with Andrew Cyrille and Henry Grimes. He also co-leads The Cosmosamatics with Sonny Simmons. He was awarded an NEA Individual Performance Grant to compose for a string quartet based on his original music. Website michaelmarcusmusic.com.
