Marq Porciuncula (born January 29, 1987, in Hamburg, Germany) is a German singer, songwriter, dancer and occasional actor of Filipino descent. A child prodigy in music and dance, he auditioned for the German TV show Popstars in July 2003 and was selected from more than 13,000 applicants. He joined the boy band Overground with Meiko, Akay and Ken. Their debut single, "Schick mir nen Engel," reached No. 1 on the charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and earned a Gold record, and their album "It's Done" went Platinum. Overground became very popular in the region. After their last single "Hass Mich," the group took a break, and Marq began a solo career, recording his own songs and pursuing new opportunities.
