Ipiaú is a city in Bahia, Brazil, located where the Contas River meets the Água-Branca River. It is bordered by Ibirataia and Jequié to the north, Aiquara and Jitaúna to the west, Ibirataia and Barra do Rocha to the east, and Itagibá to the south. The city is an important producer and exporter of cacao in Brazil.

Ipiaú was founded in 1913, became a town in 1916, and was incorporated as a city in 1933.

As of 2022, Ipiaú has about 40,700 residents living in an area of roughly 280.5 square kilometers, for a population density of around 145 people per square kilometer. The population is 8,200 people aged 0–14, 27,300 aged 15–64, and 5,200 aged 65 or older. There are about 19,600 men and 21,100 women.

Ipiaú is in the Northeast region of Brazil, in Bahia state, with ZIP code 45.570-000. The city is part of Bahia’s cacao-growing region. Notable people from Ipiaú include Euclides Neto and Luiz Caldas.
