Heredia (canton)
Heredia is a canton in Costa Rica’s Heredia Province. The head city, also called Heredia, is the provincial capital. The canton was created on 7 December 1848.

- Districts: Heredia, Mercedes, San Francisco, Ulloa, Varablanca
- Geography: The canton includes areas south and west of the capital city up to the Virilla River and National Route 1. Varablanca is a non-contiguous district that includes a large portion of Braulio Carrillo National Park high in the Cordillera Central.
