Medium Tank M1922 was an American inter‑war tank built by Rock Island Arsenal. It was largely a variant of the M1921, sharing the same track suspension system and using a cable suspension similar to the British Medium Mark D. The M1922 had a boxy hull with a round turret and was armed with a 57 mm QF Hotchkiss gun (146 rounds). It weighed 25.5 short tons (23.1 t), with armor from 1 inch to 0.375 inch (25 mm to 9.5 mm). Its dimensions were about 25 ft 9 in long, 8 ft 8 in wide, and 8 ft high. The crew consisted of 4 men.

Power came from a Murray and Tregurtha Marine 6‑cylinder gasoline engine, delivering 195 hp at 1,250 rpm, for a power‑to‑weight ratio of roughly 6.29 kW/t (8.44 hp/t). The suspension used 17 inch wide track shoes. Top speed was 15.7 mph (25.3 km/h) and range about 160 miles (260 km).

Only 11 M1922 tanks were built, and they were used mainly for testing. A 16‑ton weight limit on U.S. bridges kept the design from broader adoption. One example was preserved in the Ordnance Museum after 1926. The T1 tank drew on designs from both the M1921 and M1922, and at least one M1922 survives in the U.S. Army Armor & Cavalry Collection at Fort Benning.
