Barrhorn

Barrhorn is a mountain in the Pennine Alps in Switzerland’s Valais canton. It rises to 3,610 meters. The easiest route is a hike. Access is from the north, starting in Turtmann in the Rhone valley. Drive to Gruben, then up to Vorder Sänntum at about 1,900 meters. There is a car park at the end of the road, costing 4 CHF per day. From the car park to the Turtmann hut takes under 3 hours, and from the hut to the summit about 3 hours. No special equipment is needed for this straightforward ascent.
