Luis Castro (footballer, born 1957)
Luis Humberto Castro Dinamarca, known as Cholo Castro, is a Chilean former footballer who played as a forward. He was born on September 21, 1957, in Chile.
In Chile, Castro played for Fernández Vial (1981–1984) and Naval (1985–1987). With Fernández Vial, he helped the team win the Tercera División in 1981 and the Segunda División in 1982, and he took part in the club’s first professional Clásico Penquista against Deportes Concepción in 1982. In 1987 he moved to Mexico to play for Atlético Potosino in the top division, where he scored two goals in the 1987–88 season.
Internationally, Castro played for Chile’s B teams in 1985 and was part of the squad that won the Indonesian Independence Cup. He also appeared in the Los Angeles Nations Cup.
Later life: He settled in Potosí, Mexico, and has participated in local veteran leagues.
