Ludlow River
The Ludlow River is in the South West region of Western Australia. It starts in the Whicher Range near Claymore at about 112 metres above sea level and flows northwest through Yoganup and Ludlow. It ends at Wonnerup Inlet, which leads to Geographe Bay and the Indian Ocean. The river is about 30 kilometres long and drains a catchment of around 81 square kilometres.
The river was named after Frank Ludlow, one of the early Western Australian settlers who arrived on the Parmelia in 1829 and explored the area in 1834.
Ludlow River lies in the Vasse-Wonnerup Conservation District within the Geographe Catchment, along with the Abba and Sabina Rivers.
Most of the river foreshore has been cleared, with only about 5% in pristine condition. The only tributary is Tiger Gully.
