Portsmouth Pride
Portsmouth Pride is an annual LGBTQ pride event in Portsmouth, England. It is run by the Portsmouth Pride Trust, a registered charity.
The event was set to return in 2015 after not being held for several years, with plans to start and finish at Victoria Park and have stalls and performances in Guildhall Square. Portsmouth Pride became a registered charity in August 2018.
About 14,000 people attended Portsmouth Pride in June 2022. Later that year, some in the LGBTQ community were distressed by MP Penny Mordaunt’s stance on transgender rights during her leadership bid. MP Stephen Morgan joined the Pride march in 2023.
In 2025, Portsmouth was chosen by the UK Pride Organisers Network as a leading community Pride from more than 260 groups. For that event, the Portsmouth Historic Quarter decorated Foxtrot 8, a Falklands War landing craft, with a rainbow wrap to celebrate progress for LGBTQ people in the armed forces. Headliners included Nadine Coyle, with Katie Price, Sabrina Washington, and drag artists Kyran Thrax, Victoria Scone, and River Medway also performing.
