Lagoa do Frio Municipal Nature Park
Lagoa do Frio Municipal Nature Park is a protected area in Canindé de São Francisco, Sergipe, Brazil, near the border with Bahia. It covers about 279 hectares (689 acres) and was created on October 23, 2001.
The park is one of three conservation units in the caatinga biome in the region, along with Grota do Angico Natural Monument and Rio São Francisco Natural Monument. It is managed at the municipal level, and there is no known agreement for cooperative research.
Not much information is published about the park, except for a study on the fragmentation of the caatinga. In May 2006, Lagoa do Frio joined the Caatinga Ecological Corridor. By 2013 there was no formal management plan in place.
