John Adamson (New South Wales politician)
John Clark Adamson (12 May 1910 – 8 March 1984) was an Australian politician in New South Wales. He served in the NSW Legislative Assembly for Concord as a Liberal from 1950 to 1953. Born in North Sydney, he was the son of a solicitor and studied at Parramatta High School and Sydney Teachers College. He worked as a school teacher in Rozelle from 1938 to 1950 and was an alderman on Marrickville Municipal Council from 1944 to 1948. He won the Concord by‑election in January 1950 after the death of Brice Mutton, held the seat in the 1950 state election, but was defeated in 1953. He did not hold ministerial or party offices. After politics, he returned to teaching and was deputy principal of Newtown Boys’ High School from 1972 to 1975.
