Joe Vasconcelos
Joe Vasconcelos (born December 14, 1966) is a Brazilian-American singer, worship leader, and songwriter who works in contemporary Christian music. He was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and records with Graça Music. His 2014 album Passos de Fé is his latest release.
He grew up in Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais, Brazil, and converted to the Gospel at age 11. He moved to the United States soon after and joined a church worship team in 1991, performing in Portuguese. He attended worship ministry seminars led by Ron Kenoly.
In 1994 he led a worship crusade and began receiving invitations from American churches. He organized gospel concerts and led worship for more than a decade in the United States. In 2000 he received the anointing for the ministry of the Word and, two years later, was ordained. He spoke at CONAD II with Ron Kenoly. In 2005 he and Kenoly helped celebrate 75 years of the Assemblies of God in a large event in Rio de Janeiro.
In 2006 he released his first English-language album and started the Time2Worship International seminars with Kenoly. His Amazed CD/DVD, released by Graça Music, was recorded in St. Paul with Brazilian gospel artists. He is working on a new album titled None Like You, filmed in Miami.
